Our Guide is Critical Mind and the Light of Science
As the 1923 Culture, Education, and Social Assistance Foundation, we take the ideals of enlightenment, critical reason, and the light of science—the very foundations of our Republic—as our guide. One of our primary goals is to contribute to the upbringing of enlightened individuals who are respectful of differences and committed to fair and democratic values.
With this vision, we take great pride in organizing the 1923 International Math, Science, Energy, and Engineering Fair (1923 IMSEF). Inspired by the Great Leader Atatürk’s principle, "All my hope is in the youth," IMSEF does not aim to pit young people against one another in a race; rather, it aims to encourage them to think, observe, investigate their curiosities, and master scientific methodology.
This prestigious organization, which brings together young minds in Izmir to produce projects in fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, engineering-energy, and mathematics-computer science, is in perfect harmony with our foundation’s mission of education and social responsibility.
Within the scope of our organization, one of our key objectives is to introduce our country and our "Head Teacher," Atatürk, in the best possible way to young people coming from every corner of the world.
We wish success to these innovative and creative minds who will build the future in the footsteps of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk—who left us science and reason as his spiritual heritage—as well as to their dedicated teachers and everyone who contributed to this organization. We wholeheartedly support their journey in the light of science.
Sincerely,
Berk HIZLIATEŞ
